There are currently 2 fields one 6 acres and one 9 acres. We have over 35 acres which has just been reseeded and fertilized that will be refenced this summer. In the 35 acres there is about 5 of bush, which we will cut through to make trails for the horses to roam.

Indoor Arena
Currently we do not have an indoor up. We are in the plans to have one up next winter. It is just too cold here to not have one!!

BREEDING FACILITIES AND AGISTMENT

RHS employs the very best in modern technology to maximise your chances of a successful pregnancy for your mare.

All breeding is carried out by Artificial Insemination, preventing any possibility of injury to your valued broodmare.  Fully qualified equine veterinarians carry out the work.  Mares are teased and scanned by ultrasound to ensure that your mare is inseminated as close as possible to ovulation.

Collections from the stallions are taken according to the cycle of your mare, not according to set collection schedules as is the practice of many studs.  This means semen is as fresh as possible at the time of insemination.

Mares are kept in individual paddocks unless you request otherwise.  All mares should have up-to-date vaccinations and worming before coming to stud.

We also offer a foaling down service.  The mares are fitted with foaling alarms and the foaling paddock is grassy with special fencing for the safety of your mare and foal. It is not necessary to be using one our stallions to use this service.

Agistment Costs

Dry Mares $14/day (GST inc)
Mares with foal at foot/in foal $18/day (GST inc)
Mares for foaling down only (not to be served) $20/day (GST inc)
Foaling down $450 (GST inc)

All feed and hay is included in the agistment fee.
Veterinary, farrier and other costs are not included.

Fees are correct to date but are subject to change without notice.

Off-Stud

We send chilled semen to all parts of Australia.  This is collected and prepared for transport by qualified veterinarians/AI Technicians.  As we are only 30 minutes from Adelaide Airport, we can usually arrange for semen to reach you the same day it is collected.
